It excites me to share this nail art design with you today! My blog will be 3 in a little over a month. And yet this is the first time I’ve shared a birthday manicure.
It’s true! Somehow life has gotten in the way of me either wearing something fun on my tips for my birthday. Or of me sharing what I wore here on my blog. If I haven’t said it a hundred times before, purple is my favorite color. Likely I would always wear it if I didn’t think you would get bored. I was thrilled with the way this design turned out and couldn’t be happier that it is my ‘Birthday First’.
This look began with 2 coats of LeChat Perfect Match gel polish in Always and Forever on all nails followed by a coat of Akzentz Matte-On.
Choosing the color scheme for this design was a multi-day event! I lost track of how many combinations I swatched trying to coordinate with the 2 shades of amethyst in my nail jewelry.
Next, I stamped every nail except my ring finger with a swirly design from UberChic Beauty 4-02 plate and China Glaze Harmony from the Romantique Collection.
I used my Big Bling from Clear Jelly Stamper to rotate the image for a somewhat different look on each nail and an overall brocade feel.
Did you happen to notice the gold tip on each nail? I painted a thin line of Moyra Foil Gel in Black along the tip with a nail art brush, cured for 30 seconds, and pressed Moyra Magic Foil in Gold onto the gel.
I experimented with outlining the entire nail in the gold foil but decided that the simpler tip accent looked fresh and unique.
And, finally, I added the bling! I applied Clear Swarovski Crystals in ss7 and ss5 along the cuticle line of each nail except my ring finger using Akzentz Bling On.
Then I attached custom nail jewelry from Kiyoco Miyaji
that I had made just for my birthday. It features Swarovski Crystals
in both Light Amethyst
. Love!! It’s so regal looking and very different from the poofy charm I wore in My Love: Stamped Valentines Day Nail Art Design.
I realize that big bling isn’t for everyone! This is how Ms. Cindy looked with all of the nails stamped and finger jewelry instead of nail jewelry.
I hope you enjoyed this design as much as I did! I forgot how much I loved tonal stamping! As always, I would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks for reading! I’ll see you at the next post.
