It’s not officially winter in my opinion until the 1st snowflake design gets posted. And I am lucky enough to be sharing this “1st Snow” design before it snows again here in the desert. We don’t get much and it doesn’t last the day, but it sure is pretty to look at when no shovels are involved! Let’s take a look…
Would you believe this is the first time I’ve had Different Dimension on the blog?? I have been collecting a few bottles a year since 2014 with the best intentions to use them in a design. So I made them a priority this year and I need to apologize if any of the colors I’ve used are no longer available.
I chose to pair 3 Different Dimension colors for this design. Jack on my thumb and middle finger, Ready, Set, Snow on my index and pinky and Boy Blue on my ring finger to tie everything together. I applied 3 coats to all nails and finished with a coat of HK Girl Fast Drying Topcoat.
Then I began the design by applying Daily Charme’s Premium Sticker Decal in Snowy Lace (shown below) over Jack on my thumb and middle fingers. These ‘sticker decals’ are like nothing I’ve ever used before. They are so super thin that they are attached to the plastic film top sheet instead of the paper base. You cut out the section you wish to use, separate the plastic film, position the design over your nail and rub them on with your fingers or a rubber cuticle pusher. It takes some practice on a curvy nail but it’s worth the effort!

Next, I stamped ‘Let It Snow’ with Mundo de Unas Blue Grey from UberChic Christmas 02 stamping plate using my Big Bling Clear Jelly Stamper. OMG does this stamper make centering a cinch!!!
Then I started placing Silver ‘Eternal Snow’ Clou Japanese Stickers from Daily Charme. These stickers are also super thin and the snowflakes are cut out perfectly to avoid any telltale sticker lines. I added another coat of HK Girl over the four nails with stickers.
I finished the design by attaching a Snowflake from Daily Charme to my ring finger with a dab of Akzentz Bling On.

I loved this design and I think that it looked a bit better in person than in photos. Ready, Set, Snow has lots of small silver flakies that the camera just didn’t capture so well but if you look closely you may see them.
