Candied Pumpkins Anyone? Halloween Nail Art

Halloween nail art, stamping halloween nails, black and orange nails, Pueen Halloween Party 01 plate, Chez Delaney Halloween A003 plate

Happy Halloween everyone! I like to follow up a creepy Halloween nail art design with something a little more fun. And since last year it was candy corn and this year it is going to be pumpkins!

My inspiration for this design came from the burnt orange polish with turquoise, green, and other assorted micro glitters. The color is a CrowsToes custom called Beyond Your Fears and it was one of Hella Holo Customs for September 2016. I’ve provided a link in case you’d like to join this closed Facebook Group for future offerings.

I wanted to pair it up with CrowsToes Helheim, which had amazing copper and purple sparkle on a plate test but ended up being much harder to see on the nail. It’s fine though, black polish is easy to work in and I used 2 coats on my thumb and ring finger and 1 coat as a base on my pinky.

Beyond Your Fears never ceases to impress me! The formula was perfect and I enjoyed watching all different colors pop as I painted 2 coats on my index and middle fingers.

Candied Brains Anyone? couldn’t have been a more perfect accent color, picking up on all of the colors Beyond Your Fears was putting out. I dabbed a substantial coat over Helheim on my pinky.

Design Details

Decorating these nails included a stamping decal, stamping and a bit of bling. I created the decal for my middle finger from Pueen’s Halloween Party 01 plate. Then I stamped a pumpkin image from the same plate onto my thumb using Mundo de Unas Geranium. I used Geranium again with Chez Delaney Halloween A003 to stamp the “Happy Halloween” on my ring finger.

I finished by adding black tape on the diagonal and 3 small turquoise crystals to my index finger and used Akzentz Bling It to attach a Winstonia Pumpkin to my ring finger.

How amazing to see all of the colors popping out of Beyond Your Fears in this closeup! You can also get a glimpse of the purple flakes and copper at the tip of the Helheim nail. And that glitter is just amazing!!

Hi Karolyn, I totally drool over glitter macro shots! And I’m more of the light-hearted, non-scary kind of Halloween girl. Those devil faces or werewolves or gory guys tend to show up in my nightmares — yikes!

    • Hey Cat!! Me too and I thought this glitter shot came out so cool! I’m also more of a non-scary girl but I figure I owe my reader’s a little balance. But a few spiders or skulls is as far as I’ll go. Nothing gory for me either!! xoxo
