Deck The Tree: Christmas Nail Art with Girly Bits

Hey there! I'm going to try to keep the blogging mojo going with 2 posts in 2 days. Today's design supports my White Christmas nail art tradition. Here goes!

Girly Bits Eggnogoholic, Mundo de Unas, UberChic Christmas 01

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, the prompts from the '12 Days of Christmas' challenge I am participating in helped me to plan my designs around my favorite products, both old and new. For the Christmas Tree prompt I chose to use a beloved polish from Girly Bits.

I was immediately drawn to this Christmas Tree design on UberChic's Christmas 01 stamping plate because it looks so similar to the Ornament Tree we proudly display at my house every year.

In case you don't recognize it from the White Christmas design I did last year, this lovely polish is Girly Bits Eggnogoholic. I've applied 2 coats to every nail over a base of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter A-Peel and finished with HK Girl Fast Drying Topcoat.

I used Messy Mansion's Metal Template Tool to easily section off the design on the stamping plate. Together with my MoYou London Rectangle Stamper I was able to align the stamper with the edge of my nail and roll the image on from side to side.

I stamped with Mundo de Unas Dark Green and floated another coat of HK Girl to protect the design.

And then it was time to hang some ornaments! I made use of several wheels containing everything from small caviar beads to the star that tops the tree. Working on one nail at a time, I applied regular OPI Topcoat and randomly applied the bling under my Ottlite Magnifier Lamp. Objects on blog are smaller than they appear! :)

I'll finish with a close up so you can see all the pretty little 'ornaments' and the gorgeous glitter polish that was just the perfect backdrop for my tree.

I've got to tell you that this "less words, more photos" concept is really working for me! I am able to put a post together so much faster. But please, please tell me if I am leaving out any information you would like to have.

My Christmas Tree turned out exactly the way I envisioned it and I hope you enjoyed it. As always I would love to hear your thoughts and also see your holiday nail art. Sharing is caring around here so feel free to add your favorite design to your comment. And please take a moment to check out the nail art from other members of the group.

Thanks for reading! I'll see you at the next post.
