On A Bed Of Roses: Halloween Nail Art with Serum No. 5

Serum No 5 Fangs for the Memories, Serum No 5 Lights Out, Serum No 5 Guiding Light, MILV N196, WiiNo Shop red star skull charm

Hey there! OMG I can’t believe it’s Halloween! Where did the time go?? I have all of these great ideas in my head but there never seems to be enough time to get them all onto my nails! I have a few more to share with you, starting with this one that features a favorite brand: Serum No 5.

I was trying to balance my nail art between ‘fun Halloween’ and ‘creepy Halloween’, and I believe this one falls into the later category. The perfect follow on to my Candy Corn design from the other day in my opinion!
Serum No 5 Fangs for the Memories, Serum No 5 Lights Out, Serum No 5 Guiding Light
  • I started out with 2 coats of Serum No. 5 Guiding Light over my base on my thumb and middle fingers.
  • Followed by 2 coats of Serum No. 5 Fangs For The Memories on my index and pinky fingers.
  • I finished with 2 coats of Serum No. Lights Out on my ring finger and a healthy coat of Out The Door Topcoat for all.
What's Up Nails MILV N196 water decals
I loved how the red, silver and gold glitter in Fangs For The Memories looked with these water decals I purchased from What’s Up Nails.

I picked out the correct size for my thumb and middle finger, carefully applied them and added another coat of Out The Door Topcoat. You may also notice that the glitter on my index and pinky fingers has multiplied prolifically. What can I say?? I can never get enough and just had to dab more on with a makeup sponge.
Water decals are such a fast and easy way to add a big impact to your nail art design. Here is a link to one of my 2 YouTube videos in case you’d like to learn more about how I apply them.

Applying the water decals reminded me that I had picked up some of MoYou London Hand Tattoos a while back. I found one I really liked in the Biker Collection and application couldn’t have been easier. I do however wish I would have placed it lower on my finger, as it was a real b*tch to try to photograph! Serious hand cramps.

The finishing touch was to add a Red Star Skull charm from WiiNo Shop to my ring finger.

Since all of the polishes I used are from Serum No. 5 I bet you are probably waiting to see it glow. But I am sorry to report that Fangs For The Memories was an awesome glitter polish with no GITD pigments.

In case you haven’t read about it in my previous Halloween posts, the Hobby Polish Bloggers Group (HPB) I participate in on Facebook is having a Link-up this week and the theme is Halloween. They said I could add as many designs as I wanted, so I am doing just that!

If you are into nails, whether you have a blog or use Instagram or even if you are a polish maker, you should check out this group. Aside from being a really nice bunch of ladies in a drama free environment, they have been an excellent resource to me whenever I have questions. Be sure to scroll down for more information and to checkout their work!

I would love to hear your thoughts on this design! It is 12:02AM on October 31st and I have 2 more Halloween posts to write after I finish this one. Then I will take a beat and begin replying to comments here and on social media. Thank you so much for your support and patience! Happy Halloween!
