Yep, it is January 9th and I am posting New Year's Eve nail art. Better late than never, right?? There's a story of course and I'll fill you in after the break because I think you've waited long enough to see the design!
OK, the story. I planned to take 2 days off from blogging for Christmas, Thursday and Friday, and get right back to creating nail art for New Year's on Saturday. Turns out the mind and body liked the break a little too much and before I knew it 2 weeks had passed. I was thinking about designs during that time, but couldn't motivate myself to do them. So I am happy that I finally have my mojo back! But with that mojo came the obsessive need to finally create the designs I had thought up over my break. I hope you'll bear with me because there is going to be at least one more.
I started with off with a gorgeous polish called O Holy Night from Colors by Llarowe over a base of Orly Bonder. As you can see, this is an extreme holo that does it's thing easily indoors or out. What I really loved about it is that it has a silver base AND a ton of gold shimmer so it can be either color depending on your lighting.
I used Single Chevrons from Nail Vinyls to section off a reverse French. I filled in the triangle with Colors by Llarowe Vincent, a one coat black, and removed the vinyls quickly. Then I free handed a coat of Colors by Llarowe Mickey (more on this flakie polish and others in an upcoming post!!) over Vincent. I used HK Girl Topcoat on all my nails before I started stamping.
There's lots of stamping going on here! I decided to start with what I thought would be the hardest part and used Sugar Bubbles SBS04 and Mundo de Unas Silver to stamp the number in the triangles. That proved easy compared to stamping the city scene from Bundle Monster BM-414 with Mundo de Unas Black on my middle and ring fingers. Me and Bundle Monster have a serious love/hate relationship!
Next I stamped the fireworks using designs from MoYou London's Festive 05 and Sugar Bubbles SBS04 and MoYou London's stamping polishes in Royal Up, Cool Pool and Sweet Lips. I finished the design my adding the midnight clock design from the same MoYou London plate.
