I apologize that this post is not at all timely! I am not sure when this changed, but I have discovered recently that I can’t do 10 things at once anymore. Bummer! Anyhow, MoYou London has another brand new collection for us this week! It’s called the GAMES Collection, and please call me out if I am wrong, but I’ve yet to see a collection completely focused on games. Let’s take a look!
With every new collection comes a new mascot. Meet Penny, it’s all fun and games for her. Come and play with us this Christmas! Let the Games begin!
There will be 6 plates released on Friday. I don’t want to call them Collage/Landscape style because that’s not what they are in the traditional way were are used to seeing those. These are comprised of multiple designs in a variety of sizes…I am going to dub it the “Compilation” style.
The first plate is focused on some favorite board games like Chess, Checkers and Backgammon. I can’t remember the last time I have played any of these, but I have some really great memories of all of them as a child/young adult. I love the abstract Chess/Checkers board and both sets of Chess pieces.
Cards! Now this I can relate to in adulthood! I love to play Poker, but I had a knack for upsetting people at the tables in Vegas for not hitting properly. Boy can that get ugly fast! Anyhow, I love all of the fine detail in the Jack, Queen and King!
Ah, the billiards and darts plate. This one makes me super nostalgic. I got pretty good at darts in my 20’s and later discovered billiards and got completely hooked. Some lower back problems have me playing less and less these days though. That 8 ball on fire is awesome!
Crosswords, word searches, Scrabble, YAY! I do enjoy spending some time playing these types of games. The LOVE design is my favorite!
Puzzles! Something else I don’t do much anymore. It’s a real bummer to grow up! I LOVE this plate and the potential it has, not just for making fun puzzle designs, but for it’s symbolism with Autism.
OK, I am going to need some help with this plate ladies! I looked at it and saw Origami, but that’s not a game. It looks like the game is called Tangram and I haven’t a clue. Interesting designs though!
What do you think of the new collection? I would love to hear your thoughts! I really love that Puzzle plate and will definitely put it on my Wishlist. I just ordered the new Festive plates and have to group my purchases a little more wisely now that the free shipping has ended.
These plates will be released on Friday, December 12th, and retail for £4.99 (approximately $8.50). They can be purchased directly from MoYou London.
Thanks for reading! I’ll see you at the next post.
