It's Wednesday again and I am excited to bring to you the latest enhancement to MoYou London's stamping plate conglomeration. This week they will be expanding the Cookbook Collection they launched last week. If you were hoping for baked goods, ice cream, teacups and pots your wish has come true! They will also be adding 7 Metallic Polishes to their line of stamping polishes, but I plan to address that in a separate post. So let's take a look at those plates!
Cherry has been a very busy this week!
"The Cookbook Collection is seriously ***YUMMY***
We just can't get enough of our new baking stamps!!
H-O-T H-O-T H-O-T and straight from the oven!"
There will be 5 new plates releasing on Friday: 3 Regular size (1.5cm x 1.2cm) and 2 of the new XL/Combo plate I showed you last week. The XL/Combo plate contains 6 XL designs (2.0cm x 1.5cm), a circle measuring 4.7cm across with a center design 1.6cm across, and a strip across the bottom measuring 4.8cm x 1.4cm.
If you recall, the "Fast Food" plate was only released in the XL format last week. Here is the Regular size plate to restore balance. There's some really cute designs here for a fun filled mani of all your favorite guilty pleasures!
Ah, the bakery plates have arrived! This plate should make a the tea connoisseurs happy too! I've been itching to do a really good cupcake design and I think I'll be able to do it with this plate and the one that follows.
I must say I am a little envious of the individual cupcake designs on this plate that don't appear on the XL. I guess that's the sacrifice we'll be making with the new format. They are super cute and so detailed! I guess I'll just need to buy both!
I scream for ice cream!! My goodness are they hitting on all of my vices with this collection! I am in love with the 2 ice cream cone designs on the polka dot background as well as the "Ice Cream Lover" design!
OK, I am experiencing a bit of plate envy again! The solo ice cream designs on this plate are great plus you got everything I loved on the previous plate! I guess I know the solution.
I had some mixed feeling about this new collection last week, I think simply because I was expecting something different. But I LOVE what they've done to bring it together this week. I get now that they are going for a more fun, playful look with just enough detail. I'm still a bit perplexed by the timeliness of barbeque and ice cream plates as we are heading into Winter, but that won't keep me from placing an order!
I have a question this week for the ladies that buy/need the XL plates. What do you think of this new plate format? I suspect they created it to offer a wider range of image sizes, something in between Regular and XL. But I can't help feeling a little shortchanged when I compare the designs on the Regular size plate to the XL. Sure, we had to by more plates before to get all of the same designs, but at least that was an option. And we could buy both XL and Regular now, but that's not practical if you really need XL and it's also not an affordable option for everyone. Thoughts?
These plates will be released on Friday, November 7th, and retail for £4.99 (approximately $8.50). You can purchase them directly from MoYou London. In case you haven't heard, the free international shipping is ending this week on Friday at 12AM GMT. That's 5PM on Thursday here in Albuquerque, NM as I learned from this nifty tool: Time Converter and World Clock.
