Today I have a review for you for three items I selected from the Born Pretty Store and a video tutorial to show you how I created a nail art design using them together. If you happened to have purchased stamping plates from Born Pretty's original release, this video presents one creative way to use the smaller designs.
As you'll hear in the video, the I chose the nail shield as the focal point for the design. I picked the iridescent stud set because it included a teardrop shape that mimicked the nail shield. I also felt the white color would pick up the pearls in the shield. I didn't know the designs would be so small when I chose the Born Pretty 05 plate from their original release. But the images stamped great and I decided to use one of the designs for chevron French tips.
Here's the video review and tutorial from YouTube.
I was really pleased with the way this design turned out. The China Glaze polishes from the Romantique Collection stamped wonderfully over the Zoya Willa black onyx cream polish and the bright, foil colors coordinated so nicely with the gemstones.
I thought the studs played very nicely off of the teardrop shape shield. The best part was that this shield was a pleasure to wear. The back of it is slightly curved to fit the nail and it is well made. The rhinestones are set in so it wasn't catching on everything like bling of this size often does.
