I wonder how many people will happen upon this post just due to the title. I enjoy coming up with fun names for my nail art designs and once I got this one in my head nothing else compared. My fellow Colors by Llarowe fans will almost certainly get the gist and I hope everyone else will read on to discover the deeper meaning!
In my world there is only one thing better than a completely amazing, exclusive, vivid purple polish with an intense linear holo and a pink spark that I captured over and over. And that thing would be pairing it up with some sparkly bling in the form of another gorgeous polish loaded with silver micro glitter and holographic glitter that had rainbows dancing on my fingernails!
Meet Colors by Llarowe Toga! Toga! Toga! (aka Toga x3) and Man In the Mirror. Do these two polishes look great together or do they look GREAT together?? Toga! Toga! Toga! is the glorious purple that came with my first A Box, Indied in August. I purchased Man In the Mirror when the Michael Jackson Collection was re-released and I believe it it still available.
I started with 2 coats of Toga x3 on my thumb, index and pinky fingers. The formula was perfect and probably could have been a one coater if I’d gone a little heavier. Then I applied 2 coats of Man In The Mirror to my middle and ring fingers. Would you believe this is a clear polish? It’s loaded up with so much silver and holo glitter that it was fully opaque in just 2 coats! I finished with a coat of HK Girl Fast Drying Topcoat.
The polish purists may want to look away now because I am going to do the unthinkable and decorate these nails. I just got my first order from Nail Vinyls in the mail and I thought it would be fun to try them out with these polishes.
Nail Vinyls carries so many options that I totally couldn’t make up my mind. Fortunately they offer a Variety Pack for people like me that provided a real nice assortment. Before nail vinyls became popular I came across some on eBay from a seller abroad. They were much larger than these and didn’t adhere well at all. I was pleased that these were sized much more appropriately and that they adhered great. I had no problems at all with polish bleeding underneath them and got nice, crisp lines as you can see from the photos.
I used Single Chevrons on my index and pinky fingers. Then I applied multiple sizes of Straights to create the lines on my thumb and ring finger. My middle finger got the royal treatment with all 3 Chevron sizes included in my assortment.
I was trying not to overdo it, but that means something different to me than most people I think. LOL! I finished the design with two 3mm silver cabochons and a cute purple polka dot bow. In my humble opinion this gorgeous polish is still very much the star of this show! Prepare to be blinded by these beauties in direct sunlight!
WOW! It was actually challenging to take these shots with all the shine bouncing back in my eyes. But I had to see them in all their glory!

It’s been a long time since I’ve created nail art that didn’t involve stamping. It felt damn good and I really need to step out of the box more often and explore other nail art techniques!
I hope you enjoyed my break from stamping too! As always, I would love to hear your thoughts. I enjoy reading and replying to every comment.
Thanks for reading! I’ll see you at the next post.
