Casper: Watermarble Halloween Nail Art for HPB October Link-Up

I have a special design for you today that I created for the first Link-up of my Hobby Polish Bloggers Group (HPB) on Facebook. We plan to do one every month going forward and this time the theme is Halloween. This group is best for the more casual polish blogger and has been an excellent resource for me. I’ve learned so much from these ladies! It is a Closed group, so you’ll need to send a request to join. Now for the nail art!

I have to apologize to you again because I don’t have pictures of this design in process. I think I got so excited to FINALLY get a watermarble on my nails that I was completely thrown off my game! I am so sorry!

This design came to be entirely due to the watermarble on my middle and ring fingers. I’ve been playing around with watermarbling for a few weeks now and this combination of polishes worked for me the other night. I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Night Fright, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Pumpkin Queen and Picture Polish Imperial because it happened to be nearby. I had thinned the 2 Sally Hansen polishes during my previous experiments, but Imperial worked great just the way it was.

I polished my thumb and pinky with 2 coats of Imperial and applied 2 coats of Night Fright to my index finger. All of my nails got a healthy coat of HK Girl Fast Drying Topcoat.

The decorating started with 2 small, white ghost water decals from Daily Charme’s Dainty Decals – Happy Halloween sheet. Next it was time to stamp. I used the Halloween design from MoYou London’s Festive 16 and multicolor stamped it using Mundo de Unas Orange and Silver. I stamped the ghost design from MoYou London Festive 16 on my thumb using Mundo de Unas White.

I decided the ghosts needed a bit of sparkle and went over both the decals and stamped ghosts with China Glaze Fairy Dust on a small nail art brush. The finishing touch was adding Daily Charme’s Gold Ghost to my pinky with a dab of nail glue.

I have been admiring all of the wonderful purple Halloween designs on Instagram for a few weeks now and I was thrilled to come up with one of my own. Thank you very much for the inspiration my Instagram friends!
