Geometric Glitz: Stamped Nail Art feat. Black Cat Lacquer

Hello Nail Artists! I recently decided to treat myself to a monthly subscription to Llarowe's "A Box, Indied". I love indie polishes and thought this would be a great way to broaden my horizons and try brands and/or polishes I may not have chosen myself. The one I'd like to share with you today is Black Cat Lacquer's Cosmic Cranberry.

Geometric Glitz Nail Art Black Cat Lacquer Cosmic Cranberry

Black Cat Lacquer is a new brand for me and I knew I was going to love this polish from the moment I set eyes on the bottle! It's a raspberry/burgundy jelly loaded with small multicolor glitter. Application was a bit challenging, perhaps due to my base coat choice or me over-working the polish, I'm not sure. But it was fully opaque in 2 coats and oh so pretty. This color is exclusive to the indie box, but I encourage you to try their other glitter polishes, as I will be doing too!

Geometric Glitz Nail Art Dance Legend Rich Black #924
I was really excited when I tried pairing it up with Dance Legend's Rich Black 924 and they worked great together! You know I just can't have matchy-matchy nails! The idea for the design came from the weekly challenge theme in one of my nail art groups: Geometric. Of course I completely missed posting them on challenge day, but better late than never, right?

I started with a base of Picture Polish Revolution then applied 2 coats of Cosmic Cranberry to my index, middle and pinky fingers. My thumb and ring finger received 2 coats of the Rich Black 924. Both polishes dried to a somewhat matte, bumpy finish due to all of the glitter, but that was easily ratified with 2 coats of HK Girl Fast Dry Topcoat.

Geometric Glitz Nail Art stamped with MoYou London Fashionista 04 & Vivid Lacquer VL006To create a geometric look I chose 2 designs from MoYou London's Fashionista 04 XL plate and one design from Vivid Lacquer's VL006 to accent my thumb and ring fingers. I stamped using Mundo de Unas Light Gold #40.

These gorgeous polishes needed no further embellishments. I simply finished off this easy nail art design with more topcoat to seal the stamping and bring out the shine in the glitters.
