Birds of a Feather Stamped Nail Art Design

Hello Nail Artists! Today I have another manicure that I created for MoYou London’s 10K Nail Art Challenge. I know, big surprise. This one was for Day 20 and the theme was “Cute”. I used the theme as an opportunity to honor my two black fur babies.

I started with a base of one coat of Monkey See, Monkey Do. The formula is on the thick side because of the glitter, but it’s easy to work with and fully opaque in a single coat. I topped it off with a coat of HK Girl topcoat. This is such a pretty linear blue holo and it has multicolored micro holo glitter mixed right in for that extra WOW factor. Sadly my camera didn’t do it justice and got a little wonky trying to shoot it.

Next I mixed a few drops each of Harp on It and Alpine Snow and dabbed it on with a Q-tip to create the shimmery clouds. Then I chose several designs from the Kitty 11 plate and stamped them on with Mundo de Unas black stamping polish.

I finished off the design by adding some grass under my kitties using green flocking powder. I applied topcoat where I wanted the grass and sprinkled the flocking powder on top. After it had dried for a few minutes I was able to tap off most of the excess and go over my nails with a brush to remove what remained.

A photo of my inspiration, my fur babies.

Here’s my inspiration. Meet my loves Destiny and Chance just waking up from a nap. They are inside kitties that would like nothing more to be outside frolicking with the birds. But they still have plenty of fun watching stalking them from the windows.

I’d love to hear what you think of this design. Did I accomplish “cute”? It was a really fun manicure to do and I love how the flocking added dimension to the design.

I hope you enjoyed this nail art design! I’ll see you at the next post.
